June 21st-24th, SFISD hosted STEM Camp for 138 students! Students participated in activities such as robotics, engineering, coding, podcasting, the science of cooking, and extreme science! These STEM activities were engaging and exciting and required students to be creative and think critically. The week was filled with batches of ice cream, scratch coded video game making, oobleck creation, foam explosions, podcasting, and so much more! Kids were so excited to work together. They kept their thinking caps on and their smiles beaming! Each day was supported by a theme which showed student pride in thinking creatively, embracing “crazy ideas”, great minds, and working out their brain. We can’t wait to see what our STEM students do next!
