    NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT PACKET

     

    Registration Information

      

    All students at all campuses will be required to present Proof of Residency to be enrolled in Santa Fe ISD Schools.  This is for students already enrolled at SFISD, as well as new students to the district.

    Santa Fe ISD Online Registration opens Wednesday, August 3, 2016 for the 2016-2017 school year! A Family Access account and personal email will be required to complete online registration. If you do not have a Family Access account, click on the SKYWARD FAMILY   ACCESS APPLICATION to print and complete the application and return it to your child’s campus.You will receive your login information via email. Once you have completed the online registration, you will need to bring the following to your child’s campus on the posted dates, which are listed on sfisd.org website:

      

    • Online Registration Completion Confirmation – printed after completing registration
    • Proof of Residency – a current utility bill or mortgage statement with local address
    • Updated Shot Records – as required for current age of child.

     

     

    Enrollment Requirements

    Enrollment in SFISD is contingent upon one of the following residency provisions and required documentation:

     

    1. The student and either parent of the student reside within the school district. (See Registration Documents)
    2. The student does not reside in the school district, but a parent of the student resides within the district and that parent is a joint managing conservator or the sole managing conservator or possessory conservator of the student. (See Registration Documents)
    3. The student and the student’s guardian or other student having lawful control of the student under a court order, reside within the school district. (See Registration Documents)
    4. The student has established a separate residence under Subsection (d). (See Registration Documents + Non-Parent Educational Guardianship Form OR Non-Resident Student/Parent Form) NOTORIZATION REQUIRED! (available at your child’s campus)
    5. The student is homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 11302, regardless of the residence of the student, of either parent of the student, or of the student's guardian or other student having lawful control of the student. (Residency Questionnaire)
    6. The student is a foreign exchange student placed with a host family that resides in the school district by a nationally recognized foreign exchange program, unless the school district has applied for and been granted a waiver by the commissioner under Subsection (e).     7. The student resides in the school district and is 18 years of age or older or the student's disabilities of minority have been removed. (See Registration Documents)
    8. The student does not reside in the school district but the grandparent of the student: resides in the school district; and provides a substantial amount of after-school care for the student as determined by the board. (See Registration

            Documents + Grandparent Residency Form) Notarization is required for the Grandparent Residency Form.

     

    Registration Documents

     

    • Proof of Residence:

             -A Current lease agreement OR

             -A Home Settlement statement with signature page/warranty deed OR

             -A Current utlity bill (electric/water/sewer/gas) OR

             -A Current tax statement indicating Homestead Exemption

    • Parent/Guardian Photo Identification
    • Proof of Identity (Birth certificate, Driver’s License, Passport, School ID card, records or report card,

             Military ID, Hospital birth record, Adoption records, Church baptismal record or Any other legal document             establishes identity)

    • Student's Social Security Card
    • Immunization Records (List of Required Immunizations)
    • Previous School's Withdrawal Form
    • Recent Unofficial Transcript or Report Card and Standardized Test results
