SFHS Course Registration
SFHS Course Registration for 8th - 11th grade students will take place February 1 - 28, 2025. Students will receive their course registration sheet so they may review course offerings and begin making selections. Students should refer to the 2025-20256 Educational Planning Guide (EPG) for a description of each course and the course requirements. Counselors will meet with students individually to select their courses for . Course verifications will be sent out for parents and students to sign and review in March.

The Road to 6th Grade - Course Selection and Registration Information

Step 1: March 12th 6:00 PM Parent Information Night - Come visit the JH and hear a presentation on courses and opportunities in 6th Grade. Fine arts, elective, and athletic teachers will be present for questions. |

Step 2: March 10th - 12th Student Exploration- Students will have a chance to meet more closely with elective teachers during specials. A JH counselor will also visit classrooms to go over the scheduling form. |

Step 3: March 14th Students Turn in Registration Forms - Turn in these forms to your 5th Grade ELA Teacher. Parents will be notified to verify the requests in Skyward. |

Step 4: April 1st-4th Finalization of Course Requests - Parents will be notified that their student’s courses have been entered. |
|
Step 5: August 11th 6th Grade Transition Day - 6th Grade students will have an opportunity to arrive at JH a day early to help with transition. |
The Road to 7th and 8th Grade - Course Selection and Registration Information

Step 1: March 12th 6:00 -7:00 PM Parent Information Night - Students and parents will have an opportunity to visit with elective and CTE teachers to begin deciding what they would like to take in the upcoming school year. |

Step 2: March 10th - 12th Counselors Visit Classrooms- Counselors will visit classroom to hand out thescheduling forms. Forms will state requirements such as the GES class in 8th grade. |

Step 3: March 14th Course Request Forms Due- Students will turn in their course request forms to their History teachers. |
|
Step 4: April 1st-4th Finalization of Course Requests - Students will receive a copy of the courses that were entered into our scheduling system through Skyward. |
