Indian Success Academy is an alternative learning center program in Santa Fe ISD that focuses on helping at-risk students earn a high school diploma through innovative means. The program targets high school students who are drastically behind in credits and are not currently on track to graduate in four years. Indian Success Academy is designed to meet the needs of at-risk, and struggling learners, who need an alternative to learning, instead of a typical high school setting.
Indian Success Academy uses a computer-based curriculum program to help students earn their credits, and prepare them to pass the STAAR End-of-Course Exams required by the state of Texas. The program also has partnered with College of the Mainland to help enroll students in their workforce/trade certification program so they are prepared to join the workforce when they receive their high school diploma.
Indian Success Academy allows students the ability to work at their own pace towards earning course credits on their transcript. The program is application-based and students must meet several requirements in order to get accepted into the ALC program.
At Santa Fe’s Alternative Learning Center, we take great pride in helping meet the needs of our students by building meaningful relationships and coaching them to understand how to focus their energy on being successful. We know that all our students can become continuous learners, join the workforce, and be successful, productive citizens in our great community.
