2024-2025
Does my student need to prepare anything for the audition?
Yes! There are links with a song and a dance for students to prepare before they get to the audition. Students will come in groups of 5 to showcase each of these talents. Students should also be prepared to introduce themselves loud and clear to the audition panel.
Does my student have to attend both days of auditions to be considered for a part?
No! Those who are auditioning only need to come one day, and can leave once they are finished. Lines can get long, and it takes time to get everyone evaluated fairly. You are welcome to wait with them in the lobby of the auditorium.
Can I go in and watch my child/friend audition?
No! Due to the confidentiality of other students, auditions are closed to anyone outside of that audition group. We will bring in groups of 5 students to evaluate them on stage.
When will the cast list be posted?
November 1st at 10 am on the Musical Website!
Willy Wonka Website
How will elementary be included this year?
Students in grades 3-5 are welcome to audition and will be included in the full show. They will perform during each public performance but not during 'school' shows during the day.
Will there be callbacks for leads?
Callbacks will be notified Tuesday, Oct 29th by 7 pm and will be from 3-5 pm on Wednesday, October 30th in the Auditorium.
How often will my student have rehearsals?
As we get closer to the actual performances, we will have them every day. However, starting out we will have them broken up into vocal, choreography, and blocking rehearsals. Leads will likely have 3-4 a week, JH/HS ensemble will rehearse about 2-3 days a week and elementary will rehearse about once a week. Please mark all conflicts on the calendar and turn in to the directors so we can plan accordingly.
