We are SO PROUD of their hard work and professionalism at the competition!
The judge commended us in his verbal and written critique on a "beautiful sense
of ensemble work and a very mature approach to the material." The play was
a delightful and heartwarming play about 4 differently abled men with mental and
psychological challenges in an adult group home that was supervised by a social
worker. Their instructors are Lisa Marie Daugherty and Andre Newport.
Our Fall Book Fair was awarded the President’s Award for creativity and use of
the student crew which resulted in a 63 percent increase over last year.
SFJH was the only middle school in Texas to receive an award along with two
elementary schools.
Overall, of the ten recipients, only three middle schools in the United States were
selected.
This accomplishment will be recognized in next year’s planning kit and will receive
$500 Scholastic Dollars allowing us to purchase additional materials from
Scholastic. The Junior High Librarian is Susan Bunde.
HS-is recognizing:
the Tribal Belles
Congratulations to the Tribal Belles on a very successful competition season. The Belles received 30 awards for their team’s hard work and dedication over the past 3 months. The officers, as well, received 14 awards overall. I have placed a comprehensive list of those awards at your Board seats tonight. The Line of Champions and Showcase Elite are the highest awards one can receive for these two contests. The Belles did a wonderful job representing Santa Fe in 2014!
With us tonight representing the Belles are: Colonel-Brianna Keel, and Lieutenants-Marissa Banda, Shelby Click, Shelby Elsenburg, Bethanne Gilliam and Kaitlyn Logan.
Their instructors are Director, Holly Davenport and Assistant Director, Brittany Davis.
HS-is also recognizing the VASE Region Winners
On February 22
and the visual arts students attended the UIL Regional Art Contest
held at Clear Falls High School. We had 10 students win Region and received gold
medals. Tonight we are recognizing Amanda Hill, Faith Earley, Katrina Holtz, Kyle
Kay, Michaela Knappe, Reagan Maniscalco, Renee Montemayor, Seth Bethea,
Ashton Scarborough, and Aubrey Mittlested. Their instructors are Karrie Huskey
and Karen Allen.
Please help me congratulate the Santa Fe High School Choir.
