    BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

     

    RECOGNITION

    The District recognized our student, staff and substitute spotlights for the month of November. From RJW, 2nd Grader, Angela Hill is our elementary spotlight student. From Santa Fe Jr. High, 7th Grader Dixie Mueller is our secondary spotlight student. From Kubacak Elementary, 3rd grade teacher Kimberly Wylie is our spotlight staff member. From Santa Fe Jr. High, Laurie Wilson is our substitute spotlight. Congratulations to all.

    The District also recognized the SFISD Business Department for being recognized in several areas of Budget Presentation by The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). By participating in the programs, districts demonstrate their commitment to upholding nationally recognized Budget Presentation Standards.

    MONTHLY REPORTS

    Mr. Atkins gave an update on the football field drainage repair which will be completed this week. JH Gym floor repairs will be made during the Christmas break.

    Ms. Ryan presented the Board with information regarding Senate Bill 2158 and ID kits for grades K-8 that will go home to parents this week.

    Mr. Sanchez presented the 1st Quarter Investment Report for 2022-2023 to the Board.

    REGULAR AGENDA 

    Approved the Financial Audit Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, as prepared and submitted by Mays & Associates, PLLC and have the annual financial statement submitted for publication.

    Approved the Resolution concerning the sale of 15 acres known as Arcadia Station.

    Approved the deductive change order to Fielders Choice contract for the replacement of the synthetic turf field and track.

    Approved the payment to College of the Mainland for Collegiate H.S. fees.

    Approved the 2022-2023 Spring calendar revisions to incorporate 4 more professional learning days in the Spring semester.
