SFHS recognized Trenton Wagner for receiving his American Welding Society Certification. He is the first SFHS student to receive this certification.
SFHS also recognized the girls’ soccer All District award winners. They were Emma Cerda, Evelyn Lopez, Desiree Sanchez and Bailey Williams. Honorable Mention award winners were Cheyanne Davis, Shelby Shelton, and Lily Pose. Second Team winners were Ariana Briones, Cassidy Garza and Sophy Botello. First Team winners were Kiana Chastain, Evelyn Lopez, Bailey Williams and Emma Cerda. Offensive player of the year was Emma Cerda. Their coach is Dan Graumann.
The District recognized our student and staff spotlights for the month of May. J. Wollam 1st grader Glynn Borders, Secondary student was Morgan Wilson 12th grader at SFHS. From Barnett Elementary, Eva Dilbert a K-2 Special Education teacher was honored. From Kubacak Elementary, P.E. teacher Natalie Beard was spotlighted.
SFISD Athletic Department recognized Anthony Cargile and his son Jim Cargile. Anthony has been announcing games for SFHS Football games for 30 years and Jim has been his spotter. Coach Bentley presented him with a plaque for his service and Mr. Wylie presented him with a trophy.

Mr. Atkins updated the Board on ongoing projectss and summer projects.
Mrs. Brown presented the annual Technology Department report.

Approved the purchase of kitchen equipment for RJ Wollam and Kubacak Elementary from Kommercial Kitchens.
Approved the 3rd year of a three year contract with sports medicine services with Houston Methodist St. Johns Hospital.
Approved Deep East Texas Self Insurance Fund as SFISD's Workers' Compensation provider.
Approved the one-year renewal of RediMD Health Services for all full time District employees.
Approved the one-year service agreement with LifeWorks Employee Assistance Program for all District employees.
Apprvoed the Employee Basic Life Benefit with Lincoln Financial.
Approved Student Athletic Insurance coverage with Texas Kids First.
