    RECOGNITIONS

    The Board recognizes students and staff each month at the regularly scheduled board meeting. The following were recognized at the November meeting.

    SF Jr. High - honored their Acts of Kindness Nominees:  Kyle Harris, Angelina Perez, Frank Cole, Cody Wilson, Trevor Chance, Reese Martin and Brad Taylor.  The Jr. High also recognized Baylee Henson. Baylee competed against 62 other flute players from surrounding schools and made All District Band.

     

    SF High School – recognized their 23-5A Volleyball team.  Their overall record for 2015 was 29-15; District Champs 14-0: Bi-District Champs, Area Champs and Regional Quarter Finalist.  MVP-Keegan Nelms; Setter of the Year-Cayla Hockenbury; Newcomer of the Year-Kylie Verm; 1st Team- Jordan Jewell; 2nd Team-Tori Smith and Julia White; Honorable Mention-Arynn Cross.  Academic All District: Kira Brown, Arynn Cross, Tanna Freudensprung, Jillian Gibbs, Cayla Hockenbury, Jordan Jewell, Mykahla Laza, Keegan Nelms, Tori Smith, Bianca Valdez and Julia White.  Other team members recognized were Kahla Miller, Morgan Boody and Megan Chance

    Charitable Donation - Mr. Burns an employee of Valero, nominated the SFTXEF as a possible recipient of a charitable donation.  Jodi Gidley, Director of the SFTXEF accepted the check in the amount of $15,000.00 to the Education Foundation from Valero.
