    BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

     

     

    RECOGNITIONS

    The District congratulated Heather Brown as the Director of Technology.

    The District congratulated and welcomed back Matthew Raines as SFHS Band Director.

    Employees of the month for December are Shelby Franks, RJW; Robyn Shirey, Kubacak; Jennifer Kahla, Barnett; Misty Wilson, SFJH; Ginger Shelton, SFHS; Lee Hart, Transportation; Gerard Albertine, Maintenance; Mandy Roach, Custodian; Maria Trevino, Child Nutrition; and Kayleen Gates, Admin.

    Congratulated Lee Townsend on achieving SFO certification by ASBO.

    Mayor Jason Tabor presented the Board with a proclamation from the City of Santa Fe, proclaiming the month of January as School Board Recognition month.

     REGULAR AGENDA

    Approved the contract with Galveston-Brazoria Cooperative for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide services for our students that are deaf or hard of hearing.

    Approved the the purchase of the Fountas and Pinnell Word Study System for 5th grade and Guided Reading Bookroom.

    Approved the purchase of partial FFE for the 2020 SFHS addtion.

    Approved the Microsoft lease/purchase program with the employees paying for the laptops through payroll deductions.

    Approved the Microsoft Licensing Agreement for the 2020-2021 school year.

    Approved the resolution regarding extension of time to use certain sick leave after expiration of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) which serves as a public purpose in the continued retention and morale for such employees and ensuring efficiency, health, and saftey while maintaining district operations.

    Approved the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement (ICA) between SFISD, Galveston County, City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe Fire & Rescue for the use of District property (W.A. Nelson Maintenance & Operations Building) during times of natural or man-made disaster.

    Approved the proposal by McKenna Contracting, Inc., for fall zones and borders at Kubacak and RJW playgrounds.

    Approved the purchase of furniture from Indesco Sales and landscape forms for furniture for the high school renovations and addition project.
