    BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

    RECOGNITIONS

    The Board recognizes students and staff each month at the regularly scheduled board meeting. The following were recognized at the December meeting.

     

    Kubacak Elem. recognized their 5th Grade Safety Patrol students.  These students are committed to making Kubacak a safe and welcoming campus for all students.  Members are: Nolan Griggs, Andee Stamper, Austin Moffett, Emily Englebosch, JaydenMallett, Angelina Simmons, Caitlyn Jimenez, Gary Wilson, Aliana King, LandeynMittelsted, Casey Blackwell, Audrey Taylor, Aiden McNamara, Trenity Gonzalez,Ryan Wilson, Reese Hodges, Johnny Garcia, Alexis Ricca, Alli Vassallo, Ivan Murillo, Alexis Rendon, Alexa Dean and Justin Wilson

     

    SF Jr. High is recognizing their December Acts of Kindness Students.  They are: Fisher Murray and Bernardo Hernandez.

     

    SF High School is once again recognizing the Volleyball team.  The Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) named Keegan Nelms to the All State Team.  This is the first for Santa Fe Volleyball.  TGCA Academic All State recipients are: Cayla Hockenbury, Jordan Jewell, Keegan Nelms and Bianca Valdez.  The Greater Houston Volleyball Coaches Association (GHVCA) also named Keegan Nelms to the post season team of 20.  She is 1 of 4 5A players selected.  Galveston County Co- MVP is Keegan Nelms which is also a first for Santa Fe Volleyball. 

     

    Volleyball Coach Anna Marie Milligan received District 23-5A Coach of the Year honors.

    Ms. Hanssard read a proclamation from the City of Santa Fe Mayor, Mr. Jeff Tambrella, declaring the month of January, 2016 as School Board Recognition Month.  Mayor Tambrella will present the proclamation at the City Council meeting and will attend our January Board meeting to congratulate the Board and present the proclamation which will be displayed at each campus.
