About the Counselors
Monica McCollum was born and raised in Sugar Land, TX. She received her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Texas Pan American. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Houston Clear Lake, and a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. Monica has been in education for 21 years; 8 years as a classroom and ESL teacher, and 13 years a counselor. Monica has had the great opportunity to work with students from PK – 12th grade and has been at SFJH for 9 years now.
Katie Casey has been working at SFISD for 5 years. She is a 1999 graduate of Texas City High School. She attended college at the University of Houston where she majored in Journalism, and later received her Master's degree in school counseling from Lamar University. She was an English teacher for 7 years before beginning her counseling career here at Santa Fe Junior High.
Tamisha Daniels, LPC-S
I am happy to be serving Santa Fe Junior High students and families. I am a proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where I received my Bachelors of Science in education. I later completed my Masters of Arts in Counseling and Masters of Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University. I am a licensed professional counselor as well as a certified school counselor who has 19 years of professional experience serving children and families in the school, community and agency settings. I greatly look forward to the opportunity to work with the children and families of the Santa Fe ISD community.
