    SANTA FE ISD ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT

    Our mission at Santa Fe High School is to promote the most positive and pure picture of high school athletics.  Through our efforts we will stress the importance of our student’s achievement of educational and athletic goals.  We will accomplish this through a positive and optimistic approach to the growth and development of our student athletes. We will excel in all aspects of life including academic, spiritual, athletic and personal endeavors.  Our student/athletes will leave Santa Fe High School having achieved success in the classroom and on the athletic field, all in preparation of becoming productive leaders and citizens within our adult community.  The Indians will adhere to self-discipline, character and integrity in all that they do and achieve.  Always focus on the goal and task at hand with special attention to the manner in which we achieve them.

     

     

    ****FACE COVERINGS****

    Face Coverings- Executive Order GA-29

    Executive Order GA-29, regarding face coverings, applies to all UIL activities effective July 3, 2020. This includes the 2020-2021 school year. As the public health situation changes, and/or if subsequent Executive Orders are issued by Governor Greg Abbott.

    For the purposes of this document, face coverings include non-medical grade disposable face masks, cloth face coverings (over the nose and mouth), or full-face shields to protect eyes, nose, and mouth.
    All employees, parents, visitors and students ten years of age or older must wear face coverings or face shields upon entry to an area where UIL activities are being conducted and when not actively practicing or playing in the contest, unless an exception listed below applies.

    Exceptions to the wearing of face coverings or face shields include:
    -Any person with a medical condition or disability that prevents wearing a face covering;
    -While a person is consuming food or drink;
    -While the person is in a swimming pool, lake, or similar body of water.
    -When a congregating group of persons maintains at least 6 feet of social distancing; or
    -Any other reason or circumstance indicated under Executive Order GA-29.

    Tristian Nabors- 2nd place- shot put

    Tristian Nabors- 4th place Discus

    Marcus Villarreal- 6th place Long Jump

     Elizabeth Stegman- 3rd place – 3200

    Briana Edgley- 1st place pole vault

    Lanie Baldin- 4th place – 300 im hurdles

  • Girls Varsity Powerlifting

    The lady Indians Powerlifting team competed yesterday at the 2021 THSWPA regional powerlifting meet in Alvin. All of our lady lifters did fantastic and represented our school and our community with class.

     Freshman Taylor Frampton-Personal Best Squat- 100 pounds

    Freshman Kylie Davidson- Personal Best Squat- 160 pounds and Personal Best Dead Lift-160 Pounds

    Freshman Kendal Andrus- Personal Best Squat-185 Pounds and Personal Best Dead lift 205 pounds

    Senior Gracie Cervantes- 2nd place finish. 2021 THSWPA State Qualifier. Squat-225  Bench-125  Deadlift-225

    Sophomore Makenna McGuire-  Personal Best squat 280 pounds and Personal Best Dead lift 275 pounds

    Junior Karissa Betancourt- 3rd Place Finish. 2021 THSWPA State Qualifier. Squat-315   Bench-155  Deadlift-280

     

     The THSWPA State meet will be held in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 20th.  Good Luck to Gracie and Karissa as they will represent Santa Fe and look to bring home some medals!
