    BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

     

    RECOGNITIONS 

    Jr. High recognized their Competitive Cheerleading team for winning the Large Junior High Division and taking first place at the Cheer Power Christmas Championship at NRG on Saturday, December 8th.  They are: Kendal Andrus, Calley Bennett, Ashlee Black, Laney Bland, Sydney Bland, Bailey Braunsdorf, Kamree Brown, Brooke Castle, Ally Childs, Jaiden Cooper, Kaidence Cox, Payton Cundiff, Kylie Davidson, Cheyanne Davis, Jylian Hendren, Syvanna Kennedy, Makenna McGuire, Jaycie Rabon, Jenna Radicioni, Lauren Radicioni, Rylee Slaughter and Emma Wallace.  Their Cheer Coach is Lindsey Plite.

    H.S. recognized their Competitive Cheerleading team for winning in the Small Intermediate Division and taking first place at the Cheer Power Christmas Championship at NRG on Saturday, December 8th.  They are:  Hailee Luxton, Avery Hansen, Haylee Wolfe, Grace McKinney, Abby Adams, Trinity Wilson, Keira Rodriguez, Meiah Cruz, Aubrey Jones, Madisen Devries, Madison Will and Captain, Ashtyn Yovan.  Their Cheer Coach is Tamara Henderson..

    H.S. would also like to recognize the following students for competing in the Livestock Judging Career Development Event in FFA.  This event is designed to teach students the desirable traits of livestock today.  H.S. students are Naomi Boysen, Caroline Boysen, Katie Sefcikk and Colton Smith.  Kubacak students are Marlee Ginn and Mackensie Scales.  Sponsors are Bubba Dunn, Brandon Noto and Dollie Petrosky.

    Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union recognized principal’s month in October and held a “Best Principal Ever” contest. SFHS Principal, Rachel Blundell was one of 4 recipients of this award. 

    TASB has an annual program recognizing local businesses and other community organizations for their continued support of SFISD and the community.  The District would like to recognize DW Florals, Owners, Theresa Sobnosky, Jason Tabor and his wife Kyra.  Farmers Insurance Agency, Owner, Fidencio Leija.  Brad Drake, Pastor of Dayspring Church.

    Mayor Jason Tabor on behalf of the City of Santa Fe, read and presented to the Board a proclamation. The proclamation recognizes the month of January as School Board Appreciation month.   

     

    INFORMATION ITEMS

    Monthly Reports - Mr. Atkins updated the Board on current projects and holiday work that will go on within the District over the winter break.

    Ms. Misty Moffitt, PEIMS Coordinator updated the Board on PEIMS Submission Reporting for 2018-2019.
