Tax Deferral Executive Order Message
September 3, 2020
An executive order was signed by President Trump on August 8, 2020 calling for a deferral of certain payroll tax obligations. These pertain only to the OASDI (Old-age, survivor, and disability insurance), commonly referred to as Social Security. Here at Santa Fe ISD, we do not collect Social Security Tax; therefore, there is no change in the policies and procedures of payroll. You will not see a reduction in income taxes withheld since the Presidential Memorandum does not cover these. Please click on the link to view a copy of the details of this executive order. If the IRS issues additional guidance that clarifies the deferral of taxes, we will keep you abreast of the changes and the impact on your compensation and employment taxes. -
End of Year Accounting Processes
We are performing our end of year accounting processes, which include payroll processing. You may see your paycheck stub in Skyward for future payrolls; these are accounting processes and not an early payment process. The funds will be deposited in your financial institution on the designated payroll dates, we appreciate your understanding, and if you have, any questions feel free to contact us.

Santa Fe ISD Business Department is now paperless. Effective January 1, 2017 hard copies of W2's will no longer be mailed. W2's are available online via Employee Access. Once you log on, select "Employee Information", "Payroll" and "W2 Information". Select the year you would like to print and click "View W2". You will be prompted to enter your social security number. Paper copies will be issued upon written request. (Click here for tutorial.)
